Was it possible to have any freedom if you were a child in 1940s Spain? The answer is no. In fact, you were forced to be a woman before your time. But Anita is different. As a character, she is free as she travels without ties and takes risks, far from the strict conventions imposed on girls in Spain in the 1940s of the 20th century.
She hails from the world of fairy tales, living with her mischievious friends in the little Land of Fiction.
Anita is special because she knows that fiction will always be there to save her life.
